Welcome to counselling and therapy in Swindon
So who am I? My name is Haoli (it's said like Hayley, but with an 'O' in the middle) and I'm a qualified (and accredited) counsellor, experienced in helping people find a way through the difficult situations they’re facing, in order to get their lives back on track. This might include everyday difficulties such as problems with friends and family, or more complex issues such as depression, anxiety, loss, relationship difficulties and abuse.
As your counsellor, my aim is to offer you a place where you'll have the freedom to explore what's going on in your life without judgement, and with the assurance of confidentiality. And, as we continue on this journey of discovery together, I trust you'll find ways in which to live life to the full - and with greater contentment. (On the about me page, you can read more about how I work as a therapist.)
As a counsellor, I work with both individuals and couples facing difficulties such as:
- Depression
- Anxiety and Panic Attacks
- Stress and related issues
- Relationship difficulties
- Divorce and separation
- Bereavement and loss of all kinds
- Low self esteem and lack of confidence
- Abuse - emotional, physical and sexual
- Trauma and its effects
- Attachment issues
- Redundancy and work-related issues
That said, no problem is ever too small if it's having an adverse effect on your life, so even if your difficulty isn't listed above, I'd like to encourage you to give me a call to see if counselling might help.
Please also note that I'm looking to relocate towards the end of 2024, meaning I can only commit to a maximum of 6-12 sessions at this time. But at least we can get started and, if necessary, I can provide you with the names of other counsellors, who work in similar ways, if you feel that you need to continue with further sessions.
How much does counselling cost?
Talking through your problems with a stranger can feel somewhat daunting, so it goes without saying that choosing the right therapist is really important. For this reason, I offer all new clients the opportunity to have an informal chat with me, at a reduced rate of £20.00, so that we can discuss what you'd like to achieve through counselling - and to see if you'll feel comfortable working with me as your counsellor. This session would last up to an hour.
Once you're happy, and we've agreed to put some sessions into the diary, I charge £50.00 per session for individuals and £65.00 per session for couples. When working with Lifespan Integration, however, I charge £25.00 for the initial, introductory session and £60.00 per session thereafter.
Location
I work from home on the north side of Swindon, Wiltshire, and use a private room which is dedicated to counselling. This room has its own entrance on the left hand side of the house, and parking should be available outside of this door. If not, please feel free to park on the driveway in front of the house - and then proceed round to the door on the left.

Please note, however, that I'm also happy to work with clients remotely, via video call or telephone. This enables clients to stay in the comfort of their own home, if this works best for them, especially as my premises don't provide access for clients with mobility difficulties. Working remotely also means that I'm able to work with clients from any part of the country.
